Burn Management
Around 330 people with burn injuries are seen in A&E departments everyday in the UK. Access to good quality medical care makes a significant difference to the outcome of the injury and the potential scarring. Mr. Collins works in London’s only burns’ centre, and has a wealth of experience treating some of the most severe burns in adults and children. He has undertaken a Burns fellowship and visited many international burns centres to learn new techniques and approaches to care.
Mr. Collins can treat acute burns of all causes in adults and children. All acute burns except for the most minor will be treated at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He treats patients from the UK and overseas.
As well as acute burns, he focuses on scar management and reconstruction following trauma. He set up the Scar Laser service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and is also the Lead for Clinical Research in the Burns Unit
